The Polestar Group has appointed a new managing director for its Colchester operation.

The Polestar Group has appointed a new managing director for its Colchester operation.

Michael Tame joins the group from Creda Communications, one of South Africa's largest privately held companies operating in the graphic communications and printing industry, where he was a main board and regional director of the company.

Outgoing managing director Jim Algar is remaining with the company for the duration of his notice period, as operations director.

Mike Young, Polestar Group operations director, said: "Michael's experience in the printing and publishing services environment will prove invaluable to the continuing development and success of Polestar Colchester.

Over the last month, Polestar Colchester has commissioned a new 64-page Heidelberg press, which has joined five other presses at the plant to provide much-needed extra capacity for the company, which produces over 40 weekly magazines and more than 90 monthlies.
