Polestar Group training director Darrin Stevens has been presented with an award by the Educational Charity of the Company of Stationers' and Newspaper Makers.

The award has been given in recognition of the contribution Stevens has made towards educating and encouraging young people to consider a career in the printing industry, by his development of Polestar's Print Dynamics software.

On presenting the award, the Master of the Company, James Benn, said: "We were very impressed with the scope and quality of this work and the dedication of Darrin in driving it forward.

When we learnt that the PrintIT! initiative, of which the Company are key sponsors, was using the software to reach over 5,000 students we felt that Darrin's efforts should be marked by an award." Stevens commented: "Whilst the concept was my brainchild, Print Dynamics would not be the success it is without the support and help that has been provided by a number of people and organisations.

In accepting this award, my thanks goes to all those who have helped and continue to help on this initiative." Earlier this year, the Polestar Group exhibited at the Careers Day organised by the Educational Charity of the Company at Stationers Hall, which was attended by over 300 16-year-old school students.

Polestar used its stand to promote Print Dynamics.
