The Polestar Group has added Hachette Filipacchi's new magazine, Psychologies, to the portfolio of monthly magazines it prints for the leading publisher.

The Polestar Group has added Hachette Filipacchi's new magazine, Psychologies, to the portfolio of monthly magazines it prints for the leading publisher.

Polestar Chantry has printed both a special preview sample of the magazine and the main title, which goes on sale next week.

Hachette Filipacchi production director John Hughes, said: "We always consider a number of printers but we have been pleased with what we have seen from Polestar since we moved Red and Elle to Chantry earlier this year.

With the short cut-off press, the company was able to offer a cost effective and efficient proposal to meet our requirements." Steve Campbell, key account director at Polestar, added: "This is another feather in Polestar Chantry's cap and we are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Hachette Filipacchi.

With the investment that has taken place at Chantry and the services we are now able to offer from one site, the company is well placed to build on this success within the high quality, monthly magazine market." Psychologies was printed on Polestar Chantry's KBA press, before being perfect-bound on one of the company's new high-speed Muller Martini Corona binders.

The company has recently completed a £10 million investment programme, which has included the installation of five Muller Martini perfect binding lines, housed in a new, purpose-built 110,000 square foot factory.

With the launch of Psychologies, Hachette Filipacchi hopes to repeat the success in the UK that the title has had in France, Italy and Spain where the magazine has more recently launched.

In France, where Psychologies originally launched, it has rapidly grown its circulation to more than 350,000 copies per issue.
