Polestar Turn Page On New Advertising Tool
The Polestar Group has developed an advertising tool designed to create immediate impact whilst making considerable financial savings to the client.
All the changes will result in the loss of approximately 70 jobs, said the group.
The moves follow a period of restructuring at Polestar's printing sites where the group has consolidated and invested in a smaller number of strategic sites and has implemented standard reporting, standard processes and procedures, which has reduced reliance on head office support.
The group is proposing to reduce its headquarters staff over the next few months.
Some roles and skills will be retained and relocated to alternative Polestar sites, whilst a smaller office may be sought in the Milton Keynes area for remaining head office staff, including the main board and to prevent relocation difficulties for people.
Polestar's chief executive, Barry Hibbert, commented: "The group has changed dramatically over the last five years, moving from four divisions with over 20 sites to one company with 10 sites.
At the same time, we have re-engineered many of our company processes.
That means we no longer need the size and skill invested at our current HQ and competitive pressures are making us continually question the affordability of any non-production related roles.
We also need to make sure we match our sales effort to our manufacturing capacity and customer base." A period of consultation with staff on the proposals will take place over the next few weeks.
