Polestar Petty is to install its second new 64-page press in six months as it takes delivery in May 2004 of a four-unit Heidelberg Sunday 4000 press.
BBC Magazines requested Polestar Colchester for the production of the titles.
Alastair Clarke, Polestar's account director, explained: "To be entrusted with three new launches is testimony to the consistency of quality and service for which the Colchester plant is increasingly renowned and to the strength of our relationship with BBC Magazines." David Halford, procurement and deputy production director of BBC Magazines, added "Polestar Colchester was an easy choice for us.
We have always received a good service from the company and we continue to be impressed by itsmore-than-capable team." First on sale at the end of last month was CBeebies Weekly, a 24-page magazine with an oversized four-page cover.
It was followed last week by the new fortnightly Dr Who Adventures magazine, which was released in time for the start of the second series of the TV drama starting this month.
Amy, a 32-page girl's lifestyle magazine, was launched yesterday (April 19).
