The Polestar Group has produced the first issue of Heyday magazine.

The Polestar Group has produced the first issue of Heyday magazine.

Redwood, the UK's number one customer magazine publisher, won the contract to produce and launch the bi-monthly magazine earlier this year on behalf of Heyday, a new membership organisation backed by Age Concern.

The magazine targets consumers in the 50+ age bracket and, with a first issue circulation of a quarter of a million, is a significant publication for those approaching or in retirement.

The July/August issue of the 132-page perfect-bound magazine was printed at Polestar Chantry.

It is the first title that Polestar has printed for Redwood for a number of years but Redwood's production director, Jennifer Jeffrey, is pleased with the success of the renewed relationship.

She said: "Because of the detailed distribution, we required a particular schedule, which Polestar was able to meet.

The first issue of a new magazine is always challenging and we were delighted that Polestar rose to the occasion and were especially attentive to the magazine's needs.

We are pleased to be working with the company again." Polestar's key account director, Alastair Clarke, commented: "Heyday is a prestigious magazine for an audience that expects the very best quality.

We feel privileged to be involved in its launch and production and we wish it every success.

We are very pleased to be establishing our links with Redwood again and look forward to developing our relationship with the company.".
