With a turnover now in excess of GBP22 million, Polestar Applied Solutions is strengthening its team, whilst at the same time introducing a simplified business to the market.

From April, Polestar Applied Solution's existing services will be streamlined under two new areas - print services and technology solutions - with existing directors Matt Spencer and Paul Seaborn at the respective helms.

Polestar said that the re-aligned business consists of print and project management and software for supply chain management, publishing, marketing and stationery.

Applied Solutions' category director, Tim Smith, said: "In the three-and-a-half years since Polestar acquired Httprint, the business has seen its turnover treble.

We have long-term contracts with some of the best-known high street names, including Virgin, ASDA, Cosmos and Cadbury, as well as with the group's corporate accounts, such as Reed and EMAP.

It is against this backdrop of strong sales growth and blue-chip accounts that we are able to develop the team and our propositions to the markets we serve." Joining Polestar Applied Solutions are Laura Lusardi as a solutions manager and Steve Baldwin as quality manager.

Both have worked in the Polestar Group before and bring their previous experience of software and production quality to their roles, added the company.
