Art Paper Proves Ideal For Museum's Annual Report

The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester has had an annual report produced with Premier Paper's Galerie Art range using patented Metal FX technology.

The brochure, produced on 350gsm Galerie Art Silk cover material and 150gsm text pages, incorporates a laser cut front cover and, in Premier Paper's opinion, it is an example of the image reproduction and printability of Galerie Art.

The images look realistic and the colours are rich and inviting, said the company.

Wood Mitchell printed the brochure and it was designed by Access Advertising.

John Neate, production director at Access, said: "We are very pleased with the finished job.

From the quality finish to budget constraints, the product exceeded our expectations." Eric Hancock, managing director at Wood Mitchell, added: "The original paper specification from Access requested a high quality, very expensive coated paper.

The client wanted to reduce the overall price of the job without compromising on the print quality.

We suggested Galerie Art and we are delighted with the print results." Commenting on the Metal FX technology, he said: "Metal FX is a way of specifying and printing metallic colours.

By utilising the base Metal FX silver or gold ink and the usual CMYK set you can produce striking metallic hues in one pass on a five-colour press, without requiring multiple spot inks.

All Metal FX approved printers have to pass a print trial to ensure that Metal FX colours are produced to an exact standard.".
