Pomeroy Plastotype, the UK supplier of products and consumables for litho and flexo applications, has been appointed the sole stockist and distributor for the UK and Ireland by Novurania.

Pomeroy Plastotype, the UK supplier of products and consumables for litho and flexo applications, has been appointed the sole stockist and distributor for the UK and Ireland by Novurania.

Novurania is an Italian manufacturer of specialised printing blankets.

Known for its range of coating, UV and newspaper blankets, the company has previously supplied the market in the UK.

However, in this new development, the company has decided that a sole stockist and distribution agreement will enable it to improve still further the service and product range that it provides to its customers.

Pomeroy Plastotype will be handling a range of specialised Novurania products, including the 303 Revolution re-usable stripping blankets, the SPOT strippable varnishing plates for litho and flexo applications, plus the 399 Design and the newly developed NTR112 zero gauge loss- calendered newspaper blankets.

In addition, Pomeroy will be providing technical and applications support, to end users of Novurania products, and it will be working with existing dealers and sales outlets to ensure that customers continue to receive the best combination of product choice, availability and price, said the company.

Pomeroy managing director, Derek Pomeroy, explained: "The new distribution agreement with Novurania represents an exciting step forward for both companies.

From our perspective, it enables us to strengthen our product line-up in the litho sector, alongside established brands such as IMC Perfect Dot, Vegra, Day International, Duco and Van Son, offering customers an even greater choice at extremely competitive prices." He added: "For Novurania the agreement gives the company the opportunity for a considerably higher level of long-term market penetration in the UK and Ireland, with an excellent level of specialised technical and applications support, plus coordinated local distribution through our wholly owned centres in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Coleford." The latest Novurania products are now available ex-stock from Pomeroy, with the company also offering a full blanket converting service via its production facilities in Coleford.
