Prontaprint Worcester has been taken over by David Watts, the current franchisee of Prontaprint Solihull, to form a permanent digital network between the two centres.

The two centres will share their resources to provide a more efficient and effective service, he claimed.

The Worcester print centre, which is six times larger than Solihull, is now equipped with the latest printing equipment, whilst the Solihull centre has been reorganised to create a more spacious meeting environment.

Using the partnership between the centres, print and design projects can be produced over 30 miles away in Worcester then digitally returned to Solihull, or vice-versa, for client collection.

Watts said: "If either centre is particularly busy, we can easily exchange work between the two to provide quick turnaround.

We've upgraded the equipment in Worcester and, using the digital links between the two centres, we are producing larger volumes of work and rapidly expanding our client base." The two centres cover Worcester, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Hereford.

Watts added: "At Worcester we already work with a wide variety of businesses in the region but I'm looking to identify and realise extra potential to expand it.

I want to communicate to existing and potential clients the sheer scale of the services we can offer above and beyond traditional printing." The Worcester operation used to be ranked in the Prontaprint's top 10 UK centres and Watts wants to restore its position, he said.
