Ken said: "My ambition for Prontaprint Hemel Hempstead is to increase sales by focusing on our business clients.

So far, our existing clients have welcomed us on board and we've even managed to pick up several new accounts.

In the long term we intend to specialise in large format printing as we have several architects and planners in the local area.

We'll also have new technology in the centre in the next few weeks and we'll be upgrading our colour printing presses later this year.

This technology will save our clients valuable working time by providing a faster and more efficient service." Previously a business development manager for Fuji, Ken decided to become a Prontaprint franchisee when he realised that he wanted business independence.

"We started looking into franchising about 12 months ago because I have previous experience in printing and graphics," said Ken.

"We were waiting for the right location so when Hemel Hempstead became available we were absolutely delighted as we knew it was for us.

You can never be totally prepared for such a big step but we have had an enormous amount of support from Prontaprint through their intensive training programme.

The staff here are also an incredibly talented and hardworking team and they've made us feel really welcome." An additional attraction to Prontaprint was also the fact they the company was recently awarded Business Superbrand status for the second year running, he said.
