Prontaprint franchise owner, Alex Graham, was invited to join UK Prime Minister's wife, Cherie Blair, for afternoon tea at 10 Downing Street in recognition of work undertaken for Arrhythmia Alliance.

Prontaprint franchise owner, Alex Graham, was invited to join UK Prime Minister's wife, Cherie Blair, for afternoon tea at 10 Downing Street in recognition of work undertaken for the heart rhythm charity, Arrhythmia Alliance.

Graham provided all print and promotional materials from his centre on Greenhill Street in London for the charity's annual awareness week, which aims to increase knowledge and understanding of cardiac arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders).

Over 250,000 leaflets, booklets and promotional items were produced by Prontaprint for the week and plans are already in place to make next year's event even bigger.

Stratford MP John Maples hosted a Parliamentary reception at the House of Commons to recognise the charity's work, with supporters of the charity receiving an additional invite from Mrs Blair to visit No.

Graham commented: "It was a tremendous honour to be invited to join key members of the alliance at No.

Everyone involved enjoyed the occasion immensely.

We were all able to view the majority of rooms inside and meet Cherie in person.

The whole afternoon was a pleasure.

Cherie was very down to earth and didn't even mind when I tried to offer Prontaprint's services to Downing Street." He added: "It is very rewarding to be involved so directly with the founder of the charity, Trudie Lobban, and the alliance.

My father recently suffered from a heart rhythm disorder and the advice given to me by Trudie was first class.

He has now had a pacemaker fitted, allowing him to lead a much more normal life.

However, he is one of the lucky ones as so many cases go misdiagnosed in the UK." Trudie Lobban, founder and trustee of the Arrhythmia Alliance said: "It has been a pleasure dealing with Alex and Prontaprint over the past 15 years since I first began working in the charity sector and ultimately founded the Arrhythmia Alliance.

Prontaprint delivers a great job every time, however complex and really do offer a first class service." The week saw over 170 events taking place between September 12-19 and ended with the First UK Heart Rhythm Congress being held at the National Motorcycle Museum, for which Prontaprint provided all the printing materials and banners.
