Prontaprint And Kall Kwik In Buy Out

On Demand Communications (ODC), the holding company for print-on-demand brands Prontaprint and Kall Kwik has been acquired by Boundary Capital.

On Demand Communications (ODC), the holding company for print-on-demand brands Prontaprint and Kall Kwik has been acquired by Boundary Capital.

At the same time Boundary Capital has also bought C J Fallon, a publisher of educational materials in Ireland.

Kealan Lennon, a principal of Boundary Capital, who led the buyout and he will join the boards of both companies as chairman.

ODC holds the global rights to Prontaprint and the European rights to Kall Kwik, although that currently operates just in the UK and Ireland through a network of 320 franchised design and print centres.

Kealan Lennon commented: "We have been following the Prontaprint and Kall Kwik businesses for some time and we are delighted to have the opportunity to support the plans put forward by ODC Group managing director Gary Verity and his team to ensure the franchisees and the brands realise their full potential through strong market positions." Richard Adler, the chair of the Independent Kall Kwik Franchise Owner's Association, said: "The association is delighted to be working closely with Gary Verity and his team and is fully supportive of his plans for the franchise.

We feel that we now have a structure in place in which we can entrust the future of Kall Kwik.".
