Prontaprint, the UK printing and copy shop franchise, has won an award for the best overall marketing campaign at the franchise marketing awards.

The franchise marketing awards acknowledge companies whose investments in marketing and creativity have contributed to the industry's continuing development.

Now in their second year, they recognise the industry's most effective marketing campaigns for products, services and franchisee recruitment.

The awards were hosted by UK comedian, Lee Hurst and saw 400 people attend.

The awards were judged by an independent panel of experts which gauged the companies that have raised their public awareness and, as a result, achieved sustainable growth.

David Tuck, franchise sales manager of Venture Marketing Group, which organisers the awards, commented: "The franchise industry is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing in the UK, comprising talented and motivated individuals who go to great lengths to promote their businesses in a highly competitive market.

The franchise marketing awards are about giving recognition to the creativity of companies and individuals that gain the attention of the world through innovative marketing." The awards are supported by the British Franchise Association (BFA), The Daily Mail and Business Franchise Magazine and they were sponsored by Lloyds TSB Business and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
