Quark has announced the introduction of free technical support for customers working in French and German.

Quark has announced the introduction of free technical support for customers working in French and German.

The company's decision follows the earlier introduction of free English-language technical support and is part of the strategy Quark is aiming towards, said the company.

Adriaan Roosen, Quark's senior vice president of customer service and operations, commented: "The company's decision to introduce free German and French technical support is part of our commitment to provide our customers with industry-leading software products and world-class service and support.

We have listened to user feedback and are providing another tangible benefit to being a Quark customer." He said the latest development is another example of recently-announced 'customer-friendly' changes at Quark, including the introduction of platform-independent licensing (Mac OS or Windows), the ability of users to continue to run older versions of QuarkXPress on the same machine as QuarkXPress 7, and the ability of users to install QuarkXPress on two machines for no additional cost.

For technical support, registered customers of QuarkXPress can make a toll-free telephone call in Austria, France, Germany and Switzerland during standard business hours.

Quark added that all customers can also use the searchable database and technical notes features on the Quark website.

Additional sources of self-help are available at the Quark website forums.
