Quark's New Man Heads North American Sales

Mark Benfer has joined Quark as senior vice president of sales for North America, reporting to Quark's president and chief executive officer, Ray Schiavone.

Benfer is responsible for leading the company's direct and channel sales activities across North America and driving growth initiatives in the desktop and enterprise markets, added Quark.

He has 20 years in technology sales, including global experience in building and managing sales teams with market-leading companies, said the company.

Most recently Benfer served as senior vice president of worldwide sales for Healthmedia.

Previous positions included vice president of worldwide sales at Arbortext and a 17-year tenure with GE and GE-owned subsidiaries.

Ray Schiavone said: "Mark brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of technology sales.

His expertise will help us expand our reach in North America by strengthening and building new relationships with customers and partners as we drive new initiatives across our desktop and enterprise businesses." Benfer earned a bachelor's of commerce from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University in Hedington (UK).
