System

The new Pantone Goe system, claimed to be the first completely new colour specification system for the graphic arts industry, will be supported by Quark.

Said to be designed to offer advanced colour options, enhanced collaboration and improved versatility for designers, the Pantone Goe System will be available for download by QuarkXPress 7 users at Quark's resource centre in October There, the system will appear as a colour library option listed on the QuarkXPress 7 colours palette

The Pantone Goe system is claimed to offer graphic designers, printers, publishers, packagers and pre-press providers colour accuracy for over 2,000 new Pantone colours.

The 2,058 colours offered by the Pantone Goe System are based on a smaller set of 10 Pantone mixing bases, plus Pantone Clear and have been manufactured under ISO 9001:2000 quality control guidelines.

Jurgen Kurz, senior vice president of products for Quark, commented: "For over 45 years Pantone has been at the forefront of colour for graphic arts and the introduction of the Goe System represents an important milestone.
