The latest update of Quark Publishing System (QPS 7) will be on show at this year's Ifra Expo and conference in Vienna from October 8 - 11.

Quark said that QPS is a collaborative workflow system used by newspapers, magazines and major corporate publishers around the globe for 15 years.

Visitors to Ifra Expo will have an opportunity to be amongst the first to view the latest development of QPS, which enables customers to simplify their editorial and creative processes by linking people and tasks in a 'virtual' workplace.

QPS 7 includes new and enhanced features, aimed at streamlining editorial and creative workflow processes whilst improving production, claimed Quark.

QPS 7 now supports QuarkXPress 7, Quarkcopydesk 7 and has been re-engineered based on open standard technology, such as Java and Service Oriented Architecture, to ensure integration and connectivity that address the needs of today's publishers.

Quark personnel will present QPS 7 and provide demonstrations at the Quark stand in hall A, stand number 620 djuring Ifra.

Quark will be at the show with some of its partner companies, which will be demonstrating complementary systems integrating with QuarkXPress, QPS and QuarkXPress Server.

They include A and F Computersysteme and Picturesafe, as well as Codesco IT Consulting, E-nvention, Extensis Europe and Inter Red.
