The Dynamic Publishing Solution (DPS) software from Quark is, according to the company, about to benefit from the appointment of a new director by the company.

Joshua Duhl has joined Quark as director of enterprise product marketing in which he will guide the marketing of the Dynamic Publishing Solution.

Duhl has 20 years of marketing, market analysis, software engineering and product management experience.

Most recently he was vice president of product management and strategy for Clearstory Systems, a digital asset management software vendor.

Before that, Duhl was director of research for IDC's content management and rich media software service.

He also served as president of Stillpoint Consulting, an independent software marketing consulting firm.

Ray Schiavone, Quark's chief executive officer, said: "With the launch of Quark Dynamic Publishing Solution we have and will continue to rely on Joshua's deep and well-rounded knowledge of enterprise-scale software, especially with regard to dynamic publishing." Duhl commented: "Joining Quark allows me to capitalise on all my experience as an analyst, marketer and consultant in enterprise software.

Based on my earlier work I consider dynamic publishing to be a greenfield market opportunity and believe that Quark has the senior leadership and technology to emerge as the leader.".
