Hersant Media, a French local news media group, has reached an agreement with Quark to buy an unlimited-use licence for more than 700 copies of QuarkXPress desktop publishing software.

The unlimited-use licence allows Hersant Media employees to download one of over 700 copies of QuarkXPress 8 from a dedicated web server onto their desktop computers.

The licence includes a three-year maintenance agreement.

Jacques Chanson, co-deputy CIO of the Hersant Media Group, says: 'Thanks to this agreement, our different publications - including 27 local newspapers and 280 editions of Paruvendu - benefit from increased flexibility when they need to use a QuarkXPress licence.'.
