Density, Heat Set And Cold Set Systems Sales Boost
Q I Press Controls has taken millions of Euros worth of orders from Drupa 2004, announced the company.
There was an increased demand in the daily newspaper for full-colour advertisements and editorials, together with the challenge of printing the additional colour on its hand-controlled newspaper press, consisting of Goss printing units.
At the same time higher quality standards had to be met, without the increase costs of waste.
Indiana Gazette vice president and general manager, Joseph L Geary, said: "We were looking for an all-in-one system.
Selecting a suitable colour register system was one thing but getting it installed on our Goss Urbanite was something else.
Q I Press Controls' agent Print2Finish managed, with Q I Press Controls, to not only implement the colour register system but also to motorise the hand adjustment of the plate cylinder register system." He added: "The system resulted in immediate savings by reducing start up waste and by controlling waste caused during web splices.
By means of this retrofit the economic lifespan of the press has been considerably prolonged.'.
