Because of continued growth at Q I Press Controls, the company has appointed Pieter de Groot to join current chairmen and founders Erik van Holten and Menno Jansen.

The former general manager of used machinery company Graphic Web Systems, de Groot has joined the supplier of graphic industry measurement and control systems at a time when the company expects continuing growth because of its Intelligent Density System (IDS), the first systems of which are now said to be running successfully Q I Press Controls claimed that IDS is a breakthrough in consistent colour density reproduction after its development made on-line, closed-loop CIELab colour measurements on a free running web without register marks or reference colour bars possible

IDS is also said to enable print shops to reduce labour and waste.
