Colour control system helps new print firm launch

For the first time in 10 years a new commercial printer, Grapho Media, will make a start-up in the UK.

Grapho Media based in Deeside is an independent commercial web printer which will focus on commercial, press finished and sheeted jobs.

Q I Press Controls will support the new print firm by installing its closed loop colour control system - Intelligent Density System - and MRC Plus with register marks to automatically control colour and cut-off and ribbon register on the company's first press, a Komori machine consisting of eight units and two webs.

According to Q I Press Controls Grapho Media has been established by former Graphoprint personnel and the company has received backing from the Welsh Assembly Government.

It hopes to expand to 24 employees within a year.

Production will start in June.
