Vestjysk Rotation has purchased a QuadTech Color Control System for its heat-set and cold-set capacity plant with the specific objectives of saving paper during start-ups

Vestjysk Rotation, based in Vinderup, Denmark, specialises in printing telephone directories, magazines and brochures and is keen to reduce waste while maintaining consistent quality during an entire print run Many of the company's customers are based all over Scandinavia so fast turnarounds, as well as flexibility, are paramount to their success

Vestjysk Rotation invested in QuadTech's Color Control System to improve reproductive colour consistency.

Lars Johannesen, director, Vestjysk Rotation commented, "By installing QuadTech's Color Control System we wanted to be able to measure and maintain colour density without variations, in keeping with our quality standards throughout the run".

"QuadTech's Color Control System is a sophisticated system with an intuitive graphic interface and is very user-friendly".

"We think it is a great technology".

Vestjysk Rotation already has a history of working with QuadTech after purchasing the QuadTech Register Guidance System with MultiCam for its Goss Baker G15 press and the PPC 3000X for its Tensor press.

Vestjysk found that both QuadTech products met the specific needs for the company.

Lars Johannesen added, "We bought the 8-unit Goss Baker G15 press in 2003 with the aim to move into the heat-set market and added the Register Guidance System and cut-off control to provide greater registration on the press".

"It has proved to be successful as it is very reliable and immediately helped us to save waste".

"The demand for producing higher quality images and reducing waste in our industry is growing rapidly".

"QuadTech has been extremely thorough with its after-sales support at Vestjysk Rotation in the past, so it seemed natural for us to continue our association with the company by investing in their Color Control System".

"We feel we will get a return on investment in a very short amount of time", Lars Johannesen noted.

Vestjysk Rotation was established in 1978.

As the business grew, it moved to larger premises in 1995.

Since then, it has extended its print house several times to accommodate new equipment.

The company currently has 38 employees and has acquired extra land with the possibility for future expansion.
