Entry Level Advertising Approval Software Launched

Direct is an integrated PDF validation and transmission product for advertisers that combines PDF validation to exact publication specifications, sourced direct from Quickcut's database, with immediate single click file delivery it is claimed.
Direct is said to verify that files exactly match destination publication or print company specifications and then sends accurate job files to them via the Quickcut online delivery service.
It complements Quickcut's established Pagestore service for sending and receiving artwork to and from newspapers, magazines and printers anywhere in the world, ensuring that advertisements are delivered correctly first time.
The destination details, whether it is a publisher or a print firm, is automatically embedded into the PDF file along with other media instructions, controlling delivery and preventing key production information from becoming separated from the job said Quickcut.
Quickcheck is Quickcut's first browser-based file validation and delivery software that is available as either a Quickcut service or a customised publisher-branded service.
It is claimed to give publishers and advertisers an easy to use online advertisement validation and submission portal that requires no end user software.
Said to be ideal for the occasional advertiser who tends to email copy, the new facility incorporates a reporting function that enables advertisers to track their copy, choose publications, sections and advertisement sizes, as well as validating all files for accuracy against their chosen publication's specifications.
Approved files are automatically delivered to the publisher's or printer's production departments.
"These new solutions complement our range by providing entry-level advertising workflow services for publishers and advertisers.
We now provide a choice of services for all levels from high volume right down to the occasional user," said Joe Jarrett, the chief executive officer of Quickcut Europe.
