Quickcut Joins CIP4 Association
Quickcut has announced its membership in CIP4, an international association that defines standards for the integration of prepress, press, and post-press processes.
Quickcut, one of the world's leading providers of digital advertising workflow software, has announced its membership in CIP4, an international association that defines standards for the integration of prepress, press, and post-press processes.
Quickcut has joined CIP4 as a full member to take an active role in the organisation and to help develop standards for end-to-end digital workflows.
'With more than 5000 customers worldwide and a suite of software products aimed at ensuring predictability, Quickcut is dedicated to global workflow efficiency and predictability from page layout to printed results,' remarked Quickcut chief executive (CEO) Joe Jarrett.
'Quickcut is a staunch proponent of standardisation and we are committed to the integration of the prepress and production process.
'Quickcut and CIP4 are at the forefront of this integration and share the vision of bringing together vendors, consultants and end users across the spectrum of graphic communications,' he explained.
'As an active member, we look forward to furthering the goals of the organisation by contributing our knowledge and experience to the development of standards, particularly Job Definition Format (JDF) which we see as a key factor in the future of print production'.
In addition to its membership in the CIP4 organisation, Quickcut is a founding member of the AdsML Consortium, which is supported by Ifra, an international association for media publishing, Newspaper Association of America (NAA) and IDEAlliance, and whose goal is to create the first comprehensive, global standard for end-to-end advertising workflow.
Quickcut also is a member of The Association of Graphic Solutions Providers IPA, Periodical Publishers Association PPA, the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers Association PANPA, Ghent PDF Workgroup GWG and IDEAlliance; and a partner of the IDEAlliance Digital Directions in Applications for Production DDAP network.
