Workflow Most Advanced For Newspapers
The new version of Quickcut's print and production workflow software was previewed by the company at Newstec in the UK, several months ahead of its worldwide launch later this year.
The client base in the UK consists of national newspapers, magazines and on-line publications, including The Business, The Telegraph Group, The Press Association, Spectator and Apollo magazines as well as numerous magazines in association with Educate and UCAS.
Alpine also works with advertising departments in offering advertisement booking systems, a copy chasing service, sales support and print and production management.
Alpine Interactive designs and sends mainly classified and also display advertisements for a range of clients to all publications featured on Quickcut's database, which includes over 8,000 weekly and daily newspaper titles from various publishing groups.
Steve Collins, a director at Alpine Interactive, said: "Quickcut gives us a huge advantage because it enables us to create and validate our advertisements against individual newspaper and magazine specifications and submit them to an increasing number of publishers in total security and in full confidence that they will reproduce to the highest standards and without any errors." He continued: "What I like about Quickcut is the reliability - each advert is flight-checked against each publications' exact specifications, so you know it will be accepted once it reaches the publisher.
Features, such as the on-line reporting function that allows the management and tracking of an advertisement in real time including automatic confirmation from the publisher to show the advert has been successfully received, give reassurance and total workflow efficiency that we didn't have before with other hybrid systems.
We also have the benefit of complete closed loop control.
With Quickcut we can create, validate and then send ads to magazine and newspaper publishers throughout UK or worldwide in minutes, safe in the knowledge that every publisher will receive the ad to their specific requirements.
