Renaddress has made upgrades to its table-top whole page addressing printers - the entry level 607 and the 608 models - with the former now being virtually a new product under the banner of the 607S.

Renaddress has made upgrades to its table-top whole page addressing printers - the entry level 607 and the 608 models - with the former now being virtually a new product under the banner of the 607S.

The claimed benefits of compact design and ease of use remain, as does the advantage that directly addressed personal media has over all other formats, said Renaddress.

The RENA 607S is now claimed to be faster and more cost-effective.

For example it said to be able to print up to 7,000 postcards per hour, at a doubled resolution of 600 dots per inch (dpi) and the shuttle print head offers an extended print area of 180mm, with a printable height of 508mm.

Renaddress added that flexibility of HP inks is also a key factor and any HP45A cartridge can be used, especially the new fast drying inks.

The machine also features improved durability, as well as superior user and service handling - weight being 23kg.

Compatibility across all formats of computer software is also standard and the 607S can be used to print variable data on to a variety of surfaces - aside from cards - including envelopes, magazines and newspapers, added the company.

In turn, the RENA 608SL also features optimum control and simple access, it is claimed.

It can deal with thicknesses up to 6mm and is said to be capable of outputting 14,000 postcards per hour - with complete graphics input.

The model is also claimed to be quiet in operation and for sensitive roles it can be fitted with a double sheet sensor.
