Pantone Signs UK Distributor For Inkjet Inks

Pantone has announced that the Pantone Colorvantage line of inkjet inks will be distributed in the UK by B and P Lightbrigade Group.

Pantone has announced that the Pantone Colorvantage line of inkjet inks will be distributed in the UK by B and P Lightbrigade Group.

Designed for a wide range of customers, from commercial printers to photographers and designers, Colorvantage inks are formulated to produce superior colour output on inkjet printers at a lower price point than OEM inks, according to Pantone.

Colorvantage inks are available as single cartridges, starter kits and bulk ink for select wide format printers from Epson, as well as Epson-compatible printers by Roland, Mutoh and Mimaki.

Those printers typically use dye-based inks, which have inherent shortcomings in colour stability, said Pantone.

Colorvantage pigmented inks are claimed to offer better lightfastness and durability, combined with a large colour gamut, making them a suitable replacement for OEM inks, added the company.

Established in 1982, B and P Lightbrigade supplies the large format digital print market with complete turnkey print systems, consumables and support.
