RIPit will debut a new CTP configuration as well as show its newest Speedsetter Violet Metal CTP and Symphony Workflows at Print 05, Chicago (USA) from September 9 - 15.

Sir Speedy of Sarasota is on its second RIPit Speedsetter and has added the Violet Metal CTP system.

Jeremy Mitchell, the company's production manager, said: "RIPit gives us an incredible, unbeatable package for an amazingly low cost of entry.

I'm pushing 240 lines per inch (lpi) easily with OpenRIP Symphony, which comes with all the bells and whistles, including imposition, full-featured RIP and always available tech support.

We're saving ink and saving money and at the same time giving our customers high end quality like they've never seen before." RIPit's Speedsetter VM offers industry-standard drum quality from RIPit in what is claimed to be a compact, easy-to-use and reliable package.

It comes standard with RIPit's OpenRIP Symphony Workflow with Adobe PostScript 3.

The workflow utilises RIPit's core OpenRIP technology.

In addition to controlling close to a claimed one hundred imagesetters, platesetters, printers and plotters natively, OpenRIP Symphony can also control a wide range of PostScript and TIFF-in devices from a single interface.

OpenRIP Symphony's PostScript 3 interpreter (CPSI 3016) is also claimed by the company to provide the highest level of compatibility with modern graphics applications.

It integrates scanning, trapping, proofing and imposition in to a single powerful package and is said to process all for output on any device that can accept PostScript, TIFF or GDI files.

The RIPit stand at Print 05 will be number 6560.
