Riso (UK)'s RZ570, which is scheduled for launch later this year, is an A3 digital printer machine offering claimed print speeds of up to 130 pages per minute (ppm), at 600 dots per inch (dpi) and a competitive cost per page, claimed the company.

The new MZ770, which will also be launched this year, will be Riso's lowest priced machine ever.

It is a two colour machine that is said to provide 600dpi reproduction at up to 150 ppm.

The digital printers are targeted at Riso's traditional high volume, low cost market including education, government, print for profit, religion, trade unions and public services sectors.

The RZ570 machine features an LCD touch screen.

Its customisation function enables short cut options for frequently used functions such as multi-up printing.

There is a volume indicator that monitors and indicates consumable levels to enable customers to re-order their supplies in good time, minimising printer down time, said Riso.

Richard Thompson, Riso (UK)'s managing director, said: "These two machines are a great addition to our traditional product range with some really useful built-in intelligence to make printing even easier.

The combination of high specification and realistic price makes these very suitable options for businesses and non-profit making organisations alike.

The MZ770 makes two colour printing affordable and practical for mainstream markets and fits in with our strategy of identifying and filling in gaps in the market with practical, affordable machines.

By September, we will have launched six new products in a 12-month period.

That demonstrates our commitment to setting the pace in this marketplace." Both models can print on a variety of paper stock ranging from 45gms to 210gms.

The machine is able to print labels, multipart stationery, envelopes and carbonless papers.

The machine offers a choice of 18 soy ink colours plus custom ink colours to match branding, allowing users to add spot colour to documents for extra impact, added Riso.

Both products will be distributed through Riso's network of channel partners and dealers and via a direct sales organisation.
