Hello, claimed to be Europe's leading wood-free coated paper in the graphic arts sector, continues to make sure that the thousands of printers who took part in its European survey know what it revealed about printers' requirements.

The three-month survey of printers' views on the wood-free coated market took place in 13 countries and had over 2,500 commercial printers responding.

The survey findings included printers identifying consistency, print impact, ink drying and runability as the top four qualities of Hello.

Robert Horne believes that the results confirm Hello it to be a very well balanced product.

The survey also revealed that there are approximately 100 brands of wood-free coated paper, few of which are pan-European, that are active in the European market.

Following its 'voodoo doll' direct mail campaign, Hello has published a new booklet summarising the survey's key conclusions.

The booklet, entitled 'Read Minds', will be delivered personally to all customers by the Hello sales force, who will talk through the conclusions of the survey and what Hello is doing in response, according to the Robert Horne Group.

David Allen, the managing director of Robert Horne Group, commented: "We had a magnificent 20 per cent response rate to the survey.

We appreciate the time those printers took to tell us what they thought and we want to take time to explain what they told us and the measures we're taking.

Listening to printers and acting on what we hear is fundamental to the Hello brand - it's about turning printers' thoughts in to actions.".
