Uncoated Paper For Variety Of Production Methods
With the current trend for a natural, organic look for printed work, uncoated papers remain as popular as ever, according to the Robert Horne Group.
Reprodux produced 2,500 editions of the calendar, which was printed using a Heidelberg Speedmaster 5-colour press in A4 format folding to portrait 594mm x 210mm when hung.
The calendars will be distributed throughout Herefordshire and it is hoped that they will raise over GBP9,000 for the cancer unit.
Reprodux director, Bob Davies, worked with Macmillan to produce the calendar, which was printed and designed in-house.
He explained the ethos behind the production: "The calendar has been produced to specifically raise funds for a new unit at Hereford County Hospital.
The Charles Renton unit will aim to provide local cancer treatment for patients who presently have to travel great distances for their much needed medical care." Davies added: "We are justifiably proud of the Macmillan 2008 calendar.
The result is quite beautiful and the Hello paper and the photography work together to stunning effect to hopefully achieve maximum sales for Macmillan.".
