Ricoh UK has launched the IS760D, a network capable scanner that can handle up to 70 pages per minute in mono and 38 pages in 24-bit colour.

The IS760D has been developed to meet the needs of workgroups requiring dedicated scanning facilities, in particular those organisations in which the digitisation of paper-based information is essential for retaining data to support compliance and corporate governance initiatives.

The company said the scanner has been developed to be flexible and reliable, offering users image output resolutions from 75 dots per inch (dpi) to 800dpi that can be selected based on their specific requirements.

The IS760D is supplied with an automatic document feeder that holds up to 200 sheets to streamline the scanning process and can handle anything from a personal cheque to an A3 document.

Jacqueline Akakpo, product manager with Ricoh UK, said: "Regardless of the sector a business operates in, the digitisation of data for storage purposes is starting to have a real impact across the board.

Compliance concerns have spurred many companies in to implementing scanning and they have subsequently come to realise the additional benefits of improved workflow efficiencies.

The IS760D offers a low cost, high performance, robust solution to address these issues and helps businesses to work smarter." The IS760D is available now from £5990.
