Ricoh Introduce Wide Format Machines
Ricoh has launched the FW770 and FW780 wide format copiers, capable of producing high quality 1:1 copies of virtually any format up to and including A0.
First 60ppm-75ppm Copier-Printers From Ricoh.
What are claimed to be the first 60ppm and 75-ppm copier-printers to simultaneously scan both sides of an original from an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) are now available in the UK from Ricoh.
The new device builds on the earlier Ricoh high volume mono devices, producing claimed outputs of up to 60 pages per minute (ppm) mono and 55ppm colour with a maximum paper capacity of 7,400 sheets.
Claimed to provide a solution to companies' growing colour requirements, the Aficio Color 5560 has Fiery's E-7000 controller, which offers a range of utilities, including colour calibration to allow users to adjust the value of colour to create Pantone matches.
Such features benefit all users but particularly Postscript and PDF oriented users said Ricoh.

Ricoh has claimed it has developed the world's smallest wide format printer, the Aficio 240W for applications where space is at a premium.
Aiming To Hit Competitors With Lower Cost Punching
Ricoh is boosting the functionality of its high volume range with the launch of an on-line punching system.
The new machine is also said to be the first to enable CRD and print-for-pay companies to create bespoke, professional finishing using a range of options from manufacturers.
For example, GBC's Streampunch increases productivity by combining punching and printing in one single process, accommodating almost any common wire-binding style, added Ricoh.
Coupled with Plockmatic's booklet maker, users can create professional documents in very short timeframes.
In addition, the Aficio Color 5560's design is said to have one of the smallest footprints on the market for a model of its capability, allowing customers to maximise the use of floorspace available.
Both its space saving capabilities and production speeds can be further enhanced by connecting two machines together.
Resulting in outputs of 120ppm mono and 110ppm colour, the combined device enables users to benefit from some of the highest speeds available without requiring the floorspace or high costs associated with some of their competitors, claimed Ricoh.
Unlike traditional high speed colour machines, the Aficio Color 5560 also requires no clearance for cooling, therefore allowing the machine to be placed up against a wall.
Ricoh product manager Eddie Hall said: "Following the success of our high volume mono devices, the development of a colour engine for the same market was a natural progression.
Our strong relationship with market leading manufacturers such as GBC, Plockmatic and Fiery, coupled with our extensive lightweight production and colour experience, means that the Aficio Color 5560 provides strong competition for the likes of Canon and Konica-Minolta in the high volume arena." The Aficio Color 5560 is now available priced from £33,595.
