Ricoh to make Digital Print World debut

Ricoh will showcase a number of new products at DPW in October at Earls Court, London.

Ricoh UK will showcase its professional print solutions at this year's Digital Print World exhibition.

It will be the first time that Ricoh attends the event, allowing visitors to see its range of digital print, data centre and workflow systems.

"Concerns over cost, flexibility and reliability are fuelling the ongoing transition to digital print solutions and we believe Ricoh has a compelling proposition for both the CRD/print-for-pay and data centre environments," explains Chas Moloney, associate director of marketing.

"The company already has an established high volume customer base and developing further solutions and partnerships to support these markets is one of its key strategic aims." Ricoh's acquisition of Hitachi Printing Solutions, now called Ricoh Printing Systems (RPS), has boosted its presence in the data centre market but Moloney is keen to stress that this is one of many of the solutions the company is now able to supply to the digital print community: "The two markets have very specific requirements and we are confident that Ricoh's heritage in business printing systems can be transferred successfully to both".

"We have the distinct advantage of being able to offer tangible benefits such as flexibility, in terms of finishing options, small foot prints and simple integration into legacy systems; high productivity, through cluster printing, tandem linking and fast output speeds; affordability and improved cost controls - all of which we know matter to our customers." To clearly define the company's offerings for the different markets, Ricoh will be exhibiting across two stands at this year's show.

One will display its solutions for the data centre environment, including the RPS devices, and the other will showcase a range of high volume, wide-format, colour, digital duplication and print management software solutions to support the professional print markets.

All of the products on display have been launched under the Ricoh name within the past 18 months.
