Ricoh Uses Drupa For Mono Printers Launch

A Ricoh UK product story

Ricoh will use the Drupa 2008 exhibition to launch three mono printing systems for the production printing market under the company's new Pro branding.

The Pro 9006ex, Pro 1106ex and Pro 1356ex are claimed to operate at speeds of 90, 110 and 135 pages per minute (ppm) respectively and are the first machines to be launched under the Pro branding.

Their launch will be complemented by two new in-line finishing systems to enhance Ricoh's range of light production finishing options.

Ricoh said that its high-volume customers will now also be able to benefit from the company's Perfect Binder and the industry's first fully-automated Ring Binder.

Both new additions have been developed to reduce the workload required to produce documents with professional finishing options.

The launch means that Ricoh's customers are now able to select from a range of on-line options, which already includes Saddlestitch for office documents and Plockmatic finishing for more advanced requirements, such as trimming and square back binding.

Karen Lawrence, professional print solutions marketing manager at Ricoh, commented: "The Pro devices highlight Ricoh's commitment to the production print market.

We have a global installation base of more than 50,000 high volume black and white models, which has allowed us to develop a reputation for providing great functionality, reliability and versatility.".
