Infoprint to support NHS payroll outputs

McKesson UK has chosen InfoPrint Solutions to deliver the hardware for its secure print facility to support the payroll outputs for its Electronic Staff Record (ESR) project for the NHS.

Empowered by McKesson, the NHS ESR system now manages the HR and payroll for all 1.2 million NHS employees, a total of 7 per cent of the working population in England and Wales.

The InfoPrint solution will print approximately 3 million pages of payroll slips each month.

InfoPrint was able to demonstrate that its AFP architecture and IPDS datastream provides a high level of security and integrity in the industry.

By deploying InfoPrint Workflow and InfoPrint Manager, McKesson has a secure closed-loop system that can manage and track the entire process from the moment data comes into the system to when the completed payslips go out the door.

InfoPrint is providing the hardware technology and consulting to print all of the NHS payslips, including two duplex InfoPrint 4100 continuous forms production printers driven by InfoPrint Workflow and InfoPrint Manager.

McKesson also has a number of InfoPrint 6500 V20 impact printers and an InfoPrint 1532 for automated reprints.
