Laleham Healthcare, when updating its on-line printing capabilities needed to look at replacements for its existing hot foil printers.

The company had already built a relationship with Rotech as a supplier of engraved type for its tube fillers, so Rotech was asked to demonstrate its Coder 60 Rotech's Coder 60 appealed to Laleham as the machine's design had addressed reliability problems experienced with units supplied by other companies, which along with a 60mm x 20mm print area as standard led Laleham to fit the first unit over two years ago

Rotech was able survey the machine, build the custom frame and install its Coder 60 printer within the timescale required.

Equipped with Rotech hardened steel type the unit produces the highest quality of code, said the company.

Since the first unit all the other printers have been updated, Laleham also specify Rotech to labelling machine manufacturers when new machines come in.

Andrew Thomson at Laleham, commented: "Our ability to fill and package products to virtually any specification along with short lead times is second to none so we wanted a unit that was both more reliable and flexible.

Rotech has met these requirements and over the 30 months since the first unit was fitted we have been pleasantly surprised by the lack of spares required compared to previous experiences." Established for over 30 years, with MHRA and ISO 9002 certification Laleham offers contract manufacturing and packing services to companies in the toiletries and cosmetics, heathcare and pharmaceutical industries.
