Roland DG (UK) said it is gearing up for the Sign UK exhibition where it will demonstrate its array of current products, as well as unveiling a new range of wide format printing systems for the sign market.
Following the launch of the Roland Academy last year, this year there will be a number of 'printing for profit' masterclasses throughout the event, run in association with Walsall College.
Current products on show on stand E30 at SIgn UK will include the latest generation of the Versacamm family, which is claimed to be the world's best selling print and cut system, as well as the new Soljet Pro III V XC-540 printer-cutter.
With a claimed maximum resolution of 1,440 dots per inch (dpi) and print speeds of 41 square metres per hour for high-volume production of billboards and large banners, the Soljet Pro III is said to be engineered to provide image quality and precision contour cutting.
What Roland described as its production workhorses, the Soljet Pro series of printers, will also be represented on the stand.
The Soljet series is to provide a high standard of printing, cutting, ink, media and RIP technology, making it suitable for all wide-format applications.
The Advanced Jet AJ-1000 - Roland's largest wide format machine to date, with a print width of 2.6 metres - will take pride of place on the stand.
A six-colour machine, the AJ-1000 incorporates Roland's new Ecoxtreme ink, which is claimed to provide durability and performance for outdoor and indoor graphics applications.
Roland DG added that the Advanced Jet AJ-1000 has a claimed print resolution of up to 720dpi and a maximum print speed of 90 square metres per hour and is capable of reproducing the finest details for indoor and outdoor environments, such as banners, billboards, front and backlits and fleet graphics.
The AJ-1000 is designed to provide minimal maintenance and combines the easy operation and reliability of Roland's existing large format printers with the high-volume production capabilities of a premium brand grand format printer, claimed the company.
Joining the printing products will be Roland's portfolio of engraving machines, including the EGX range of systems - from the entry-level EGX-20 desktop engraver to the EGX-600 benchtop system.
The latter is claimed to combine heavy-duty engraving power, speed and features to provide versatile and easy-to-operate, professional tools.
Complete with a suite of software, the computerised engraver is said to enable the production of a variety of applications, including 3D reliefs for signs, as well as name plates, awards and trophies, medallions, ADA signage and control panels.
