Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 30, 2010

Label Leaders in South Africa has bought a EDM200 semi-rotary, servo-driven UV-flexo machine to to enable short-run production of generic labels requiring a change in the description of the product.

Rototec will also manage the installation of the EDM200, which is scheduled for mid-August.

The EDM200 is claimed to be the world's first-ever semi-rotary, servo-driven UV-flexo machine, using sleeve technology for print and anilox cylinders, and working with chambered doctor blades.

The machine is designed to work mainly as an over-printing machine and has been developed to provide economic production of short-run and fast turn-around for labels, tickets and tags.
