Distance learning packages are to be printed by RPM Print and Design after the company won a three-year contract for the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Portsmouth (UK).
What is described as the high volume production of the packs are mailed around the UK and the world, with production runs involving printing 85 different titles with run lengths of between 500 and 800 The titles are wire-o-bound and printed on recycled paper
The packs are produced on the digital equipment at RPM that includes cut sheet Xerox machines (Nuvera/ Docutech) and the web-fed Xerox 495.
The Institute of Criminal Justice Studies was founded in 1992.
Now with 50 academic staff and 1,800 students, the institute is said to be one of the largest departments of its kind and has become an internationally-renowned focal point for the multi-disciplinary study of crime and criminal justice processes.
