Colorado 7.1, the new version of SCP's large-format colour copy software, is now available.

Colorado 7.1, the new version of SCP's large-format colour copy software, is now available.

The product may be switched into a three-button mode for Vidar and Contex scanners, offering a simplified scanning, copying and printing workflow and thus significantly enhancing ease-of use, claimed SCP.

In addition, Colorado 7.1 also supports the Colortrac series and Smart-LF scanner models 4080M, 4080C and 4080E.

Print quality enhancement is now possible by manually adjusting the printer's grey balance (linearisation).

That is especially important to users of third-party papers and inks.

Printer calibration in the RIP section of Colorado has been made easier and faster than before.

Additionally, the user may choose between an expert mode and the simplified mode for printer configuration, added the company.

SCP also made adjustments to the editor, which not only offers gradual despeckling and hole-filling but is also said to allow the user to import and edit vector data and save them into various raster formats.

Unlimited zooming is possible, even into very large files and zooming speed has been much enhanced in order to increase efficiency and productivity.

Colorado 7.1 has a new printer driver that prints into SCP's DaylightRIP software.

In the workflow DaylightRIP acts as a print server, managing all print jobs.

Other new printer drivers include HP Designjet 4000, Seiko IP-6600 and Colorpainter 64S, Xerox 8142/60 and Kyocera Mita KM-4850, P4850 andP4845.

The upgrade to Colorado version 7.1 is chargeable and requires a new keycode and the demo version may be downloaded from SCP's website.
