With an entirely re-designed output sub-system in the new large format print-from-file software, DaylightRIP 2006 is claimed to enable every user to enhance print productivity.

With an entirely re-designed output sub-system in the new large format print-from-file software, DaylightRIP 2006 is claimed to enable every user to enhance print productivity.

Running in the background, the sub-system takes over dithering and colour management from the main application, which is ready for the next job within seconds.

As a result, operator time per print job can be reduced with up to 70 per cent, allowing for a significant increase of productivity, said the software's manufacturer, SCP.

In addition, DaylightRIP 2006 has a new feature for automated cost tracking.

The integrated module, which can be configured by the system administrator, offers a detailed overview of costs incurred with single jobs or projects and facilitates accounting and billing.

DaylightRIP 2006 offers simplified and improved file import and enables the user to print single pages from multi-page documents, added the company.

The software now also has a range of new printer drivers, including: Canon Image Prograf W6400 dye and pigment; Canon Image Prograf W8400 dye and pigment; Epson Styluspro 4400, 4800, 7400, 7800, 9400 and 9800; Kodak 1200i; Mutoh Rockhopper II; Mutoh Falcon II RJ-8000; Oce TCS400; Seiko Colorpainter 100s and Seiko LP-1010.

The upgrade to DaylightRIP 2006 is carries a charge and requires a new keycode, whilst the demonstration version of the software is available for download from SCP's website.
