SCP Software has launched its new reprocontrol.net release 4.1.

SCP Software has launched its new reprocontrol.net release 4.1.

The reprocontrol.net software is said to be an all-inclusive workflow management system for all reprographic tasks in colour and monochrome, providing productivity and maximum flexibility.

The manufacturer independent software is claimed to manage the whole range of large format printers, plotters and copiers, as well as multi-function printing systems.

The modular client-server system is said to process all relevant raster and vector file formats, including Autodesk's new DWF-format and allows remote access to printers and queues using TCP/IP, via client modules and web clients.

That way, it integrates all offices, customers and partners in to the reprographic workflow, said SCP.

The integrated colour management across all platforms and file formats - including CAD - as well as its support for a range of on-line folding machines and stackers, are claimed to help implement reprocontrol.net in any reprographic operation.

Release 4.1 includes new features, such as a re-designed server module for productivity, due to real parallel file processing and dithering on a number of workstations, together with simultaneous cluster printing and printing on a multi-printer queue to save time or costs, or to emulate printers with multiple media rolls.

SCP added that the software also includes 100 per cent DWF compliance for single and multi-page DWF prints in colour and monochrome, and on-line preview of multiple printouts, including file rotation for pre-flighting.

Its print job management is said to provide easy reprints of a single file, or all files using different settings, printers or queues.

It also allows for separated delivery and billing addresses, as well as optional email notification at receipt, fulfillment and error.

The system's job ticketing keeps track of all jobs, including cost tracker for monthly Excel sheet reports, or data transfer to existing accounting and billing software.

SCP added that large-format print service providers, or advertising agencies can now test the new reprocontrol.net release without having to install any hardware, or software.

Users open a standard web browser and upload any colour graphics, or large format drawings.

They can subsequently observe the transmittal and processing of the print job on SCP's public reprocontrol.net server and watch the documents being printed via webcam on a Canon large format printer.
