Heinz Kannen is SCP's newly appointed deputy manager of research and development.

Kannen will work on long-term strategic projects and software solutions, including SCP's revolutionary print workflow management software reprocontrol.net.

Kannen has long experience in software development.

After graduating from Aachen's University of Technology (RWTH Aachen), he worked as a software developer and later the manager of research and development (R and D) at several technology companies.

In recent years Kannen played a role in one of SCP's market segments as the manager of R and D for Eisfeld Datentechnik, which is the manufacturer of Posterjet RIP software.

Kannen said: "I am really excited to become part of SCP and I look forward to joining SCP's programming team." Petra Booker, SCP's chief executive officer, said: "We feel that Kannen's long term experience with colour printing and SCP's close integration with colour and monochrome print systems will take our print management software, reprocontrol.net, to an even higher level.

Combining colour and monochrome printing systems in a single workflow has been a trademark of SCP software for a number of years.

Kannen's addition to the SCP team will insure that SCP remains at the cutting edge of software innovation.".
