SCP, the German developers of large-format software, has launched a new service pack for its RIP software and for its scan and copy systems.

SCP, the German developers of large-format software, has launched a new service pack for its RIP software and for its scan and copy systems Users of SCP's DaylightRIP, Colorado and Copysystems can now print on Canon's 12-colour Inkjet printer IPF 8000 and HP's new Designjet photo printers Z3100 and Z2100, as well as scan with Colortrac's SmartLF Gx42

Users of the most recent software versions DaylightRIP 2006, Colorado 2005 and Copysystems 2005 can use the update free-of-charge, said SCP, with the new hardware drivers available to be used immediately without any cost.

All of the new features are available in SCP's evaluation software as well.

Users of older versions such as DaylightRIP 4.0, or Colorado 7.1 will need a new keycode from their dealers.

Users buying the upgrade will also profit from all product improvements and features of the preceding releases.

That includes, for example, an automated cost tracker, the parallel printing technology of the DaylightRIP server, or the changing of multiple printers from within the program's user interface.

The hardware drivers will also soon be available for SCP's plot management system Reprocontrol.net, added the company.
