Swiss Showcase For Print Finishing Systems

Hunkeler will host Innovationdays.2007 from February 5 - 8 in Lucerne (Switzerland) where over 3,000 international experts and professionals will gather.

Hunkeler will host Innovationdays.2007 from February 5 - 8 in Lucerne (Switzerland) where over 3,000 international experts and professionals from print on demand, data centre, mailroom and web finishing will gather.

There will be demonstrations of the latest paper processing systems and applications.

Innovationdays will take place at the Lucerne trade fair complex on the shores of Lake Lucerne.

Hunkeler has organised the seventh bi-annual showcase in partnership with digital printing and inserting companies.

Over 60 companies are represented, including Delphax, HP, IBM, Kodak, Nipson, Screen, Oce, Punch Graphics and Xerox.

The event promises technology premiers, with a range of live applications that span the full spectrum of digital printing and paper handling.

Highlights will include the new Gen6 rotary cutter with variable chip-out, a non-stop stacker for continuous productivity and improved handling of light-weight paper, as well as heavy card stock.

The range of new Gen6 unwinders, cutters, stackers and rewinders will also be on display.

Gen6 is claimed to set new benchmarks in productivity, with automated set-up and change-over.

The equipment was designed to handle the speeds of the world's fastest digital printing systems - up to 500 feet per minute and beyond, added the company.
