Finishing Systems Company Wins 4th Xerox Award

Standard Finishing Systems has been honoured by Xerox Corporation as the 2006 outstanding customer first and service support finishing partner of the year.

Standard Finishing Systems has been honoured by Xerox Corporation as the 2006 outstanding customer first and service support finishing partner of the year.

Presented for excellence in customer and service support, the award is said to recognise the contributions of partners to the success of Xerox and its customers.

Standard has now been the recipient of an award for four consecutive years.

Jerry Murray, vice president of product marketing and production systems group at Xerox Corporation, said: "Standard's contributions in 2006 were key to helping Xerox achieve our annual partnership sales objectives.

The company also helped us increase customer satisfaction with excellent service support." Standard offers a range of in-line and off-line feeding and finishing systems in cooperation with Xerox but the award was based primarily on the worldwide success of the Horizon Colorworks Series of in-line bookletmakers for the Xerox Docucolor digital color presses.

David Reny, managing director of Standard Finishing Systems, commented: "Standard shares this award with Horizon International, our partner in Japan, who had the engineering vision and expertise to develop an innovative all-in-one finishing system for digital production colour.

Horizon engineering, Xerox colour printing technology and Standard's comprehensive sales, marketing, and service support continue to be a winning combination for customers." The Colorworks Series of bookletmakers perform scoring, bleed trimming, stitching, folding, face trimming and stacking, all in-line, with system automation and touchscreen control.

The Colorworks line is the product of an engineering alliance between Horizon International and Xerox.

It was designed from the ground up to meet the unique requirements of in-line digital color document production.

Standard Finishing Systems has been a Xerox finishing partner since 1992, offering a range of paper handling and finishing systems that complement Xerox mono and colour printers and presses.

Systems range from Hunkeler unwinders, rewinders, cutters and stackers for continuous-feed printers, to in-line and off-line Horizon folders, bookletmakers and perfect binders.

Horizon has worked closely with Xerox on a global basis with product development projects, marketing and field technical support.
