Sun Chemical has combined its UK consumables businesses Boss Graphic Supplies and Webxtras to create a UK consumables division called Sun Chemical Consumables.

Sun Chemical has combined its UK consumables businesses Boss Graphic Supplies and Webxtras to create a UK consumables division called Sun Chemical Consumables.

To complement its established business in the UK offset market, the group will expand in to the UK packaging sector.

Central to the strategic expansion in the UK, according to Sun, is the introduction of tailored packages of products and services to meet printers' requirements.

It is expected that will help Sun Chemical grow its reputation as a one-stop supplier to the graphic arts industry, believes the company.

Sun Chemical Consumables promotes and organises the sales and technical support of an increasingly diverse range of products, added the company.

They include press blankets, fount solutions, rollers, splicing tapes, washes, solvents and speciality chemicals, personal protective equipment, silicone solutions, stitching wire, strapping, pressroom equipment and sundry items.

Products are supplied through the ink divisions and fully supported by Sun Chemical's sales and technical service teams.

New products include UV lamps, doctor blades and flexo mounting tape, in addition to a new range of spill protection equipment.

On-site training and advice is also offered to provide best practices regarding safe handling, storage and use of the products.
